Road Map to Heal the Victim Within
August is filled with energetic shake-ups and down-turns and brings us an abundance of insightful revelations of what you need to let go and what you need to nurture to move towards your intentions. Belief systems that do not support how you want to live and feel are ready to be left behind as we get ready to move towards Fall, which is just around the corner. It's essential that you take good care of yourself. By being proactive with a daily self-care practice to de-stress and cultivate a positive attitude, you can significantly diminish the strain of unexpected changes coming your way this month. As we start the month of August, the doors for transformative opportunities are opening. But even with the door wide open, if you are not taking steps towards it, you could miss it and get stuck in a familiar survival and victim mode.
In survivor mode, change can cause a lot of push-back and resistance. Fear takes over and drives you further and further away from feeling good and happy. You know fear is in the driver's seat when things feel hard and overwhelming. A stressed-out mind will always take you there. The comfort of a familiar victim mentality will pull you deeper into a judgmental headspace that leads you to feel angry, resentful, in pain and overall just unhappy. Been there, done that, let's try something new.
I want to share three essential healing practices that will move you out of victim mode so you can be on your path towards your door of opportunity to experience your empowering healing journey.
Before we start, let me remind you that your soul destination is unconditional love.
When you feel into what the next supportive step is for you, it always helps to get clear about where you want to go. Especially in times of uncertainty and change, old stories of fear can get activated. So it is crucial to be mindful and curious about what is showing up in your life and not get stuck in judgments about yourself or the situations. It will help you to take inspired actions instead of reactive ones. We are all here to find our way to Being love. We practice self-love with self-care, and as we get better at accepting and loving ourselves, we can be more loving and less judgmental of ourselves and others. We are experiencing so much resistance and opposition in our world right now that even with the best intentions and spiritual practice, it's easy to get pulled into a wave of negativity. Our spiritual practice helps us access our resilience to make supportive choices, moment by moment. Taking BE breaks helps us remember and realign our actions out of fear and into love.
Stepping Stones to Overcoming the Habit of Victim Mentality:
Releasing the Victim within. We all hold or have, at some point to varying degrees, the consciousness of victimhood. It's what got our ancestors through some dark moments. Start by accepting the situation, the people and circumstances. I'm not saying you have to like it or agree with any of it, but choose NOT to let the challenge define who you are. By accepting that things are as they are and not wasting any energy wishing them to be different, we release a lot of stress and pain caused by resistance. Accepting helps you be more present and not get stuck in the past (which is dead energy.) Embracing and honoring who you are at this moment frees you from the weight of history.
Stop playing the blame game. "It's not my fault!" We all have a deep desire to be heard and validated in our times of struggle. We want to defend who's right or wrong, define situations as good or bad. The illusion of duality is prevalent in our modern society, but we know that we are ALL One in our soul truth. In the end, we are all in this together. By taking time to reconnect with our peaceful heart, we can navigate from our higher-self and let go of these judgments. Being right is not more important than being well and at peace with your true self. Defending is exhausting and is not as effective as BEING the change you want to see. I am encouraging you to reclaim your power as co-creators of your life experience. Make supportive choices that are inspired by love and aligned with your true heart and well-being. "I choose to align with my Divine Self and support my Higher Good now."
Be the healer of your Life. When things are not going well, it's hard to accept that we chose to be here. Taking responsibility for our well-being is one of the most empowering things we can do for ourselves. It becomes more comfortable when we can access our resilience and align with the flow of the Universe. It takes effort and determination to stay the course when things get tough. There is an ancient belief that happiness, love and self-worth have to come from something outside yourself. That only when someone loves us that we are lovable, that we have to wait for the circumstances to change before we can improve. We forget that no one can make you feel something you are unwilling to accept. We forget that even in situations that are out of our control, we can choose how we let things affect our well-being and peace of heart. If you are ready to take ownership of your life and your well-being, you need to relinquish the need to be less than for you to step into your power and be the co-creator and healer of your life, your need to release the victim mindset.
If you feel stuck, get the support you need. I have a powerful 40-day Meditation practice designed to support you through the unique energy at this time. People just started in the past few days and I am reopening the doors. If you feel ready to embrace your power to BE love and live your joy, I have saved a seat for you.
Whatever you choose to do to support yourself, remember to do it out of love, not fear and give yourself some time to practice self-care, which fosters self-love. It is the best antidote for stress and anxiety. I am grateful to be sharing this journey with you.
Blessings to you and to ALL.
May you remember that you are Amazing!
Be the gift you're here to BE.
